Reservation Lead Time
Reservations are accepted for all eligible personnel as follows up to 3 months in advance (includes current month):

• 1st Week of the Month (Days 1-7) – Active-Duty Military 
• 2nd Week of the Month (Days 8-14) – Reservists and Retired Military
• 3rd Week of the Month (Days 15+) – All Eligible Patrons (Authorized DoD Civilians, MCCS Patrons, Eligible Veterans, Former Military with Patronage Expansion Privileges, and Group Bookings)

Active Duty, Reservists, Retirees, Eligible Veterans, and DoD employees may book up to two (2) reservations in one stay. Two RV/campsites, two cottages (Del Mar Beach only), or a combination totaling two reservations. *During the 4th of July holiday block at Del Mar Beach only ONE accommodation can be booked*.

Former military with patronage expansion privileges which consists of all service-connected disabled veterans, Medal of Honor & Purple Heart recipients, former prisoners of war, & individuals approved and designated as the primary family caregivers of eligible veterans under the Department of Veterans Affairs Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers are only authorized to book ONE reservation at a time. Please note, former military with patronage expansion privileges are unable to sponsor additional guests who are not dependents onto the installation unless said guests possess a valid form of military ID. For further clarification and details regarding the vetting process, please feel free to contact the Visitors Center at (760) 763-8435 or by clicking here.

Base Policy: Former military with patronage expansion privileges must register with the Visitors Center and receive approval prior to gaining access to the installation. This process can be a few days via the Visitors Center. Without this verification, access through any security checkpoints might be denied.

Policies
Del Mar Beach Cottages and Campgrounds are now only accepting same day walk-in reservations. Any future dates desired, you will be advised to call our 24/7 Reservation Call Center: (888) 409-7829 or book online.

Check-in time for RVs is 1pm.  Check-in time for cottages is 4pm.

Cancellations
Now accepting cancellations and modification requests to existing reservations via email at: delmarbeach@usmc-mccs.org. A guest services agent will contact you within 48 hours.

Pet Policy

• Due to nearby bird nesting and environmental concerns no dogs are allowed on the beach. If lodging in the campgrounds, dogs must be on a leash at all times.
• If lodging in a pet-friendly cottage or camping please be advised of the restricted breeds aboard MCB Camp Pendleton: Full or mixed breeds of Pit Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers, Rottweilers, and Candid/Wolf Hybrids or any dog with at least 50 percent ancestry of one of the above breeds. You may cancel your reservation up to 31 days prior to arrival at no penalty.

• Cancellations made to reservations less than 31 days prior to arrival will result in the loss of the deposit of one night’s stay.
• Modifications will be accepted up to 15 days prior at no penalty. If you request to modify your reservation within 14 days of your scheduled arrival date, you will lose your deposit of one night’s stay.
• Patrons traveling on official government orders (TAD/PCS) may cancel or modify at no penalty – proof of orders must be received prior to cancellation. 

A deposit of one night’s rent is due at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due in full, 14 days prior to arrival and will be automatically charged to the credit card on file. If payment is unsuccessful, your reservation will be canceled.

RV/Campsites

• Summer (Apr – Oct): Patrons may book an initial reservation for maximum of 15 nights and may book additional nights if availability permits at check-in, not to exceed 30 nights.
• Winter (Nov – Mar): Patrons may book an initial reservation for a maximum of 30 nights and may book additional nights if availability permits at check-in; patrons authorized to lodge the entire winter season (Nov 1 - Mar 31). 

Cottages/Villas

Year-Round: Patrons may book an initial reservation for maximum of 7 nights. Patrons may extend additional nights if availability permits at check-in, not to exceed 14 nights
* Advanced reservations cannot be booked consecutively to exceed the maximum number of nights per reservation.
