Honoring Our 2024 Volunteers
We proudly recognize the dedication and generosity of our volunteers, whose selfless contributions have strengthened our community. This award honors individuals and groups who have demonstrated a sustained commitment to volunteer service over the course of 12 months.
IMPACT volunteers are driven by a passion for service, dedicating their time to meaningful community projects that create positive change. PVSA recipients, while also making a difference, track their hours and collect LOAs as part of their journey toward recognition for their contributions.
2024 IMPACT Volunteers
Alonso G.
Alonso has been a steadfast and extremely reliable volunteer of the ASYMCA for two+ years and has played a vital role in the support of our ASYMCA operations; he takes initiative and anticipates the needs of the branch seemingly without effort. We are so thankful for the role that Alonso plays in our ASYMCA ohana and appreciate his commitment to supporting our staff and programs more than he knows.
Bailey K.
As a dedicated volunteer, Bailey is an integral part of the MCBH SAPR program as she has built strong relationships with commands across Marine Corps Base Hawaii and with SAPR Uniformed Victim Advocates. She has demonstrated professionalism, flexibility, and adaptability as a consistent volunteer; making her an essential part of the SAPR team.

Beth has dedicated countless hours to managing our volunteer program, from recruiting and training to stepping in when needed. Her professionalism and compassion foster strong relationships, inspire volunteers, and ensure a welcoming, committed environment.
Char H.
Char is a dedicated and reliable volunteer who has provided excellent service as a Client Services Assistant, processing over $35,700 in financial assistance in 2024 to support Marines and Sailors. As a CSA Lead and Budget for Baby® Blanket Maker, she has mentored new volunteers and created over 18 handmade blankets, offering comfort and a sense of home to clients far from their families.
Dinah B.
Dinah's tireless volunteer work as a Family Readiness Assistant has had a profound impact on Company B, MWCS-18, fostering a sense of community, connection, and belonging among personnel and their families, and contributing significantly to the unit's morale, cohesion, and overall well-being. Through her selfless dedication and countless hours of service, Dinah has made a lasting difference in the lives of those she has served, earning her a well-deserved nomination for the Volunteer Impact Award.
Dominika R.
Dominika's selfless dedication and creative volunteer work as a Family Readiness Assistant have had a profound impact on the lives of Company B, MWCS-18 personnel and their families, fostering a sense of community, connection, and belonging that has improved morale, cohesion, and overall well-being. Through her innovative events and activities, Dominika has made a lasting difference in the lives of those she has served, earning her a well-deserved nomination for the Volunteer Impact Award.
Genevieve C.
Genevieve has dedicated 88 hours to supporting the Environmental Compliance and Protection Division at Marine Corps Base Hawaii, where she has been instrumental in efforts such as invasive species removal, endangered species monitoring, and beach cleanups. Through her consistent commitment, helping to lead the NOAA humpback whale survey and contributing to critical species conservation programs supporting Hawaiian Monk Seal and Hawaiian Green Turtle initiatives, she has significantly enhanced the division's capacity to protect Hawaii's delicate ecosystems.
Josue S.
Josue is an exceptional mentor and leader within the DEFY program, dedicating much of his time and energy to shaping and impacting the lives of the youth. His guidance, selflessness, and encouragement inspired countless youth, instilling important values such as resiliency and personal growth.
