Join us for a 10K trail run in the northwestern foothills of Camp Pendleton. The course offers a challenging hill climb, rolling hills along the ridgeline, and scenic views of surrounding mountains and meadows.

Buffalo Alley is the second race of the 2023 Tactical Triad. All runners who complete Heartbreak Ridge (Apr 22), Buffalo Alley, and Run to the Radar (Jun 10th) in 2023, will receive a custom Tactical Triad Medal. If you missed out on Heartbreak Ridge this year, set a goal for the 2024 Tactical Triad.

WHO
Buffalo Alley is now open to everyone with the following base access procedure:
Those without base access must arrange to be escorted in on race morning by an authorized base patron.
Please do not register for the run unless this requirement has been coordinated. 
Patrons who don't make arrangements to enter Camp Pendleton will be turned away and no refund will be issued.

• Limited space available - we expect this event to sell out – sign up early!
• Day-of registration will be available if space permits

This race will not be timed. We will have a running clock for you to check your time as you cross the finish line. Awards will be given for the top 3 M/F finishers

DIRECTIONS

Las Pulgas Entrance
From I-5, take the Las Pulgas exit and head EAST towards the Las Pulgas gate. Continue EAST 4-miles on Las Pulgas then turn LEFT at Basilone Road. 
Head North 5-miles to reach Camp Horno (53 area)

Basilone Road Entrance
From I-5, take the Basilone Road Exit and head East. Once inside the San Onofre gate, turn right and proceed 7-miles to reach Camp Horno. Deer Park is at the very South end of the Camp.

Main Gate Entrance
From I-5 North bound, take the Camp Pendleton exit
Enter the main gate and continue on Vandergrift for 8 miles until you reach Basilone Road. 
Turn LEFT and proceed North 11-miles to reach Camp Horno (53 area)

RULES

• 13+ age limit (for safety, please adhere to the age limit)
• No headphones/ear buds allowed
• No strollers due to rough terrain
• Event is held rain or shine (unless deemed unsafe) 
• Pendleton Races has the right to modify the course if necessary for safety or base training exercises
• Course closes at 10:15am
