Transition Readiness Retirement Seminar

This workshop is designed specifically for “retiring” Service Members. This is mandatory for all retiring separating service members between 180 days to two years until retirement. Workshop information is provided by guest presenters about VA Benefits, TRICARE, Financial and Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP). The remainder of the course is facilitated by the Transition Readiness Program and Department of Labor (DOL) staff, and includes both lecture and group-format work in subjects including: Skills Assessment, Attitude and Role Adjustment, Employment Planning, Resume Preparation, and Interviewing. All personnel desiring to attend must first contact their Unit Transition Coordinator to receive TRS pre-work and prerequisites to include the Initial Counseling and Pre-Separation Counseling Brief. Spouses are strongly encouraged to attend!
