Indigo dye workshop and cultural exploration of the Gullah Geechee Community.
Join us for a hands-on, two-hour workshop exploring the traditional art of indigo dyeing and the rich history of the Gullah Geechee people, a vibrant African American community with deep roots along the coastal regions of the Southeastern United States. Participants will learn the basics of indigo dyeing, a craft cherished for centuries and historically significant to the Gullah Geechee culture.
